Dear Sir / Madam,

Proposals of the industrial sector for the Budget 2018

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is in the process of preparing its proposals for the Budget 2018, incorporating the inputs of the domestic industrial sector.

Hence, please be good enough to submit your proposals for the Budget, which are related to the manufacturing sector, preferably by the 10th of August, using the format sent herewith. If the proposal is for the implementation of a project for the benefit of a specific industrial sector, which requires government funding / capital, you may use the ‘Project Submission Format’, which could be e-mailed upon request or downloaded from the website of the Department of National Planning; (

It would be appreciated, if the proposals that you submit, represent the entire industry sub sector and not an individual industry / company.

Please note that you will be given the opportunity to discuss your proposals and to clarify any issues from the officials of the Ministry of Finance, at the sectoral meetings which would be arranged in due course.

Thanking you.

 Yours Sincerely,

Inoka de Alwis
